Ahhhh…. finally, the full post for the fantabulous Robin & Rob. I actually “met” Robin through facebook. She’s friends with Chad & Kristen, whose wedding I photographed way back in April. It actually feels much longer ago than that, but I digress… She had written something on Chad’s wall after I did their engagement pictures & while I can’t remember what it was, I remember liking it and saying so. One thing led to another & she contacted me to photograph her wedding to Rob in September. I had so much fun at Kristen & Chad’s wedding that there was no way I could say no. As I’m sure you’ll see, their wedding didn’t disappoint. There’s nothing better than photographing a wedding where you can feel how surrounded the couple are by love. Yes, that’s cheesy, but it’s true. It was also, without a doubt, one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been to. All of their friends were beyond nice to me & even convinced me to get on the dance floor. I’m sorry to say that Courtney was unable to teach me the electric slide, although, it’s not as though I really tried that hard
Thankfully, there are no pictures of that (that I know of). Speaking of pictures, how about I show you some?

You know I love a dress with good details

Who says you can’t wear flats? Brilliant.

Robin’s mom seeing her in her dress for the 1st time. Love it.

There’s something I really love about this image of Rob, just moments before the wedding. I’ve never seen a groom less nervous…

Remember how I said I knew Robin through Chad & Kristen? Well, Chad actually walked her down the aisle. So sweet.

Beautiful church…

Oh, Nicki, you are just too cool for words. FYI – Yes, this is the Nicki that I showed the afterglow teaser for last week.

Remember last week’s teaser? Now you know who’s car it is. Although, maybe you don’t. If you’re assuming it’s Rob’s, you’re assuming wrong. That’s right, it’s Robin’s. Awesome. Without a doubt, my kind of girl.

Robin & Rob set aside a lot of time after the ceremony for pictures, so we got to wander around by the water to get some cool stuff. Check out the slideshow for even more. As an aside, I love the rocks behind Robin & Rob in this picture. They run the length of the shoreline (as far as I could see, at least) & look so cool against the water & sky.

In. Love. With. This.

On to the reception. We still had time to spare, so while Robin & Rob went ahead and checked into their hotel, I went to the reception hall to get some details. I was in the balcony when I turned around and about had a heart attack when I saw this. Can you say creepy?

I love the entrance to the Racine Masonic Center.

I loved having the extra time to get details of the room before everyone got there!

Random fact – this is the first time I’ve ever had a place card at a wedding I’ve photographed. I must admit that I loved it. Not only that, but they managed to seat me at the perfect, albeit interestingly named, table. Fun fun fun….

Robin & Rob waiting for the guests to arrive before they made their entrance…

The room that they waited in had all of the food in it, including these freakishly delicious rolls. I had no idea what they were when I was photographing them, but Robin informed me that they were pretzel rolls & that I had to try one at dinner. Um, yeah, you have no idea how good these are. For real.

I love it when a toast elicits reactions like these…

First dance…

Serenading their Phi Mu Alpha sweetheart

In the top 5 of my all time favorite images.

Annnnnnnd…. dance.

So, there were so many dancing shots I wanted to include that I thought I’d try something different this time.

Yes, Nicki & Lynsy, you are awesome![]()

love it.

Look, it’s Kristen!

I really, really love it when the bride & groom dance & enjoy their wedding.

Robin’s nephew who’s beyond cute. Obviously.

I have no idea what the back story is on this, all I know is, when you’re welcomed into Robin’s family, people throw socks at you. Makes for fun pictures, at the very least…

The dance floor was packed during the anniversary dance. Pretty fantastic.

Rob’s grandparents ended up being married the longest. Congrats!

Thank you again, to Robin, Rob & all of their friends and family for making this such a fun wedding for me. You guys are awesome. Don’t forget to check out the slideshow below….
